Opened in 1998 at the Governor’s residence, Waterloo Mansion, this compact 9-hole course in Grand Turk was built entirely by volunteers. Designed by then-Governor John Kelly, it features 2,758 yards of well-balanced play. The grounds wind past Governor’s Beach, and though they have succumbed to frequent periods of drought and are mostly sand these days, locals and visitors alike love to visit this course for the unique and fun challenges it offers.
Turn 9 holes into 18 by repeating the course and using multiple tee boxes, and if you get confused, just as a local – they’re more than happy to help ensure your visit to this community course exceeds all your expectations. After your round, visit the putting green to work on your stroke. Grounds fees are just $25 per day, and clubs are available to rent, though supplies are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Combina Golf Course
Near Horse Stable Beach in Whitby, North Caicos, Combina Golf Course provides a truly unique island golfing experience. Created by local musician and community icon Lovey Forbes in 2013, this 18-hole putting course embraces the natural beauty of the Caribbean, featuring sand instead of tightly manicured grass and a layout surrounded by casuarina trees. Each hole, ranging from 8 to 75 feet in length, is marked by conch shells, adding a charming, island-inspired touch.
Unlike a traditional course, Combina invites players to enjoy a casual, laid-back game in a circular design that flows effortlessly through the tropical landscape. While there’s no clubhouse or pro shop, Lovey personally maintains the course, and putters and balls are provided. There’s no fee to play, though donations are welcomed to help with upkeep.
